Fire Safety

Every term we have a Fire Drill in school.

Earlier this year “Fire Points” were put up outside on the fence surrounding the basketball court. These are large red and white disks with the numbers 1 – 6 on them. On closer inspection they can be seen as the lids of large buckets of paint with circles and numbers painted on them in red.

Each classroom has a corresponding sign, a red and white numbered disk, placed on the door and inside the classroom. Each pupil is given a similar sticker, which is stuck on the front of his or her homework notebook.

When the fire-bell is rung we all have to leave the school in an orderly fashion.

All the teachers have to check the classrooms and leave with their Roll Books, shutting their doors behind them. Hopefully we will never have to put the drill into practice.
